L'avocado Fuerte è la seconda varietà di avocado più popolare al mondo ed è considerata da molti coltivatori e consumatori la varietà commerciale di avocado dal sapore migliore.
Gli avocado Fuerte hanno solitamente dimensioni più grandi rispetto all'avocado Hass, con buccia verde relativamente liscia. A maturazione la buccia si sbuccia facilmente rivelando una polpa giallo-verdastra.
